Monte Armidda Trail

Monte Armidda overlooks Lanusei with its forests of conifers and broadleaf trees. The main trail, well marked, passes through fragrant pine groves and panoramic clearings offering a spectacular view over Ogliastra and, on clear days, as far as the Gulf of Arbatax. In spring the undergrowth fills with wild orchids and anemones.

Seleni Wood – Ancient Holm Oak Loop

A loop trail winding among the plant giants of the Seleni Wood. The path, partly on forest track, leads to the discovery of monumental holm oaks and exceptionally rich flora. The atmosphere is that of a primordial, almost fairy-tale forest: ideal for families and for those seeking a restorative walk far from the chaos.

Gennargentu Panoramic Viewpoint

From the natural viewpoint near Lanusei, at altitude, one of Ogliastra's most breathtaking panoramas unfolds: on one side the peaks of the Gennargentu covered in forests, on the other the Tyrrhenian coast with the unmistakable silhouette of the Arbatax Rock. At sunset the colours are extraordinary. Reachable by car too, with a short final walk.

Green Train Route – Lanusei–Gairo Leg

The narrow-gauge railway of the Green Train skirts the territory of Lanusei, offering one of Sardinia's most beautiful scenic journeys. The stretch towards Gairo crosses valleys, stone bridges, and rural landscapes of extraordinary beauty. Operating in summer, it is a unique experience for families and tourists eager to discover the Ogliastra hinterland.
