Why Ogliastra
A unique
territory
Sea and mountains 30 minutes apart
Scale a limestone cliff in the morning and snorkel in crystal-clear water in the afternoon. In few other destinations in the world does the landscape change so dramatically in such a short time.
World-class climbing crags
Ulassai is ranked among the top 10 climbing destinations in Southern Europe. More than 800 bolted routes on compact limestone, from 4a to 8c, attract climbers from across the continent.
Protected and pristine seabeds
Underwater visibility reaches 30–40 metres. The Golfo di Orosei National Park protects some of the richest seabeds in the Mediterranean: posidonia meadows, gorgonians, groupers and barracuda.
Millenary trails
The Selvaggio Blu is the most famous trekking route in Italy. But even the simpler paths — the descent to Cala Goloritzé, the Ulassai tacchi — lead into landscapes with no equivalent in Europe.
