Feast of San Giorgio Martire

The patron saint of Osini is celebrated with a solemn procession through the streets of the new village, with the faithful in traditional Ogliastran costume. The feast is also the occasion to honour the bond between the community and the Scala di San Giorgio, the natural passage that bears the saint's name and has marked the history of the territory.

Guided tour of Osini Vecchio

During the summer the municipality organises guided tours of the abandoned borough. Local guides lead visitors through the ruins of the ancient settlement, recounting the stories of the families who lived there, the night of the 1951 flood, and the difficult reconstruction. An experience that touches the thread of collective memory in a direct and powerful way.

Trekking to the Scala di San Giorgio

In spring and autumn, when temperatures allow, the municipality and local associations organise guided excursions to the Scala di San Giorgio. The route, around two hours there and back, passes through landscapes of great beauty: holm-oak woodlands, sheer limestone walls, and the absolute silence of inland Ogliastra.
