Feast of Saint Sebastian

The patron saint's feast of Saint Sebastian is the most heartfelt moment of the year in Talana. The procession winds through the village streets with worshippers in traditional Ogliastran dress, followed by music from the organetto and launeddas, dancing in the square and communal banquets of roasted meats and local cheeses. A rite of social cohesion that has survived unchanged for centuries.

Cortes Apertas

During the regional Cortes Apertas event, the private courtyards and cellars of Talana open to visitors, becoming the stage for tastings of cheeses, cured meats, pane carasau and Cannonau wine. Artisans demonstrate the traditional techniques of weaving and woodworking. A rare opportunity to experience Ogliastran hospitality from the inside.

Dates to be confirmed each year

Cheese Festival

A celebration of the local cheese-making tradition with tastings of Fiore Sardo DOP, aged pecorino and fresh cheeses produced by local shepherds. Practical demonstrations of traditional cheese-making, a producers' market and folk music animate the village centre for an entire weekend.
