Feast of Sant'Elena

The patron saint festival of Triei is one of the community's most unifying moments. The religious procession winds through the village streets decorated with flowers and banners, followed by music with the organetto and singing in the Sardinian language. The afternoon is dedicated to traditional games and tastings of local produce: oil, cheeses, bread and artisan sweets.

Dates to be confirmed each year

New Oil Festival

In November, in conjunction with the olive harvest, Triei celebrates the Sagra dell'Olio Nuovo. The village's olive presses open their doors and the fragrance of freshly extracted oil spreads throughout the historic centre. Guided tastings, bruschetta with carasau bread and meetings with local producers offer a close-up look at Ogliastra's liquid gold.

Dates to be confirmed each year

Cortes Apertas

Triei takes part in the regional Cortes Apertas event with the opening of private courtyards, cellars and artisan workshops. Weavers, woodcarvers and ceramics makers display their work. Cellars offer tastings of local wine and extra-virgin olive oil produced in the village, while carasau bread is baked and handed out fresh.
