Feast of Sant'Antioco

The main religious festival of Urzulei celebrates the patron saint Sant'Antioco with a solemn procession through the village streets, followed by traditional music and dances in typical dress. In the evening, communal banquets featuring roast lamb, carasau bread, cheeses and Cannonau wine bring the main square to life.

Guided excursions in Gorropu

During the warm season, expert local guides organise excursions into the Gorropu Gorge and along the Codula di Luna. These are not one-off events but a continuous offering that forms the backbone of the local tourism economy. The guides know every corner of the Supramonte and lead small groups to protect the environment.

Cortes Apertas

Like the rest of Ogliastra, Urzulei also takes part in the Cortes Apertas event: courtyards and workshops open to visitors to showcase local craftsmanship, typical produce and traditions. In such a remote village, it is one of the few occasions for the outside public to come into contact with the everyday life of the community.
