Feast of San Simplicio

Cardedu's main religious celebration honours its patron saint San Simplicio with a solemn procession through the village streets, sung masses and moments of community sharing. The celebrations span several days and include musical and gastronomic events that showcase local produce. The feast is an important occasion for the Cardedu community, including emigrants who often return to their home village specifically to take part.

Cannonau Festival

A food-and-wine event dedicated to the Cannonau produced in the local territory. Local wineries open their doors for guided tastings, and stands are set up with typical Ogliastra products: sheep's cheese, pane carasau, artisan cured meats and traditional sweets. The festival attracts wine enthusiasts and tourists seeking authenticity, and is an important vehicle for promoting the territory through sustainable tourism.

Summer at the Marina

A programme of summer events organised at Cardedu's marina, including concerts, dance evenings, photography exhibitions and cultural initiatives. The programme is curated by the municipality in collaboration with local associations and coastal businesses. This is when Cardedu welcomes the greatest number of visitors and the local and tourist communities mingle in the lively atmosphere of the seafront.
